Life before 8am

"When I workout early in the morning, the rest of the day feels so much better"

Have you had that feeling before?    That everything is rushed feeling and you can't ever seem to catch up.   Your alarm goes off and you hit the snooze button three times before you actually get out of bed.  Did you know that can actually do more harm then good?   Why not just set the alarm at the time you are actually going to get up.

Is this you, because it is me at the present moment.  I have a focus issue, call it what you want but I can be all over the place.   I have found that I am mentally in a better state when I exercise in the morning.   My day seems to go so much smoother.   I do not rush to eat breakfast.  I can drink coffee and not an over abundance of it.  I feel more energized and ready to take on the day.   I begin to finish task that I normally wouldn't do.   And, I 100% eat better throughout the day.  So, why am I not waking up to make this happen?

I am a morning person but I don't "love" getting up.  But,  I can tell you when I do not get up, I feel rushed out of the door with a backpack, breakfast, purse, phone, water bottle, to go coffee cup and a cup full of coffee that I tend to spill on me or in the car.  It just becomes a disaster.   So, my goal for November is to get up........ AND workout!   Starts with one day and one day turns to a week, and a week turns to a month, and so on.

Here is why it can be so important.

1.   It is often the most peaceful time of day.   Kids aren't up yet.  You get to focus on yourself for that 1 hr.

2.  It preps you for the day.   Waking up early also wakes up your mind, body, and soul.

3.   It helps you organize your thoughts,

4. Get your exercise in first thing and you won't have to worry about it for the rest of the day.

5.  It boost your metabolism and gets your digestion moving for the entire day.

Find your balance.  Figure out what works best for you.   Sometimes I chuckle when people say they aren;t morning people.   What does that even mean?   What if they said, "I am not an evening person"?   I am not sure I have ever heard that one and it sounds funny.  You are whatever you want to be.  Believe it and make it happen.

What are you? AM or PM?
